The structure of VITAL, IntraHealth International's corporate blog, was already completed when I was brought onto the team. My design challenge for this project was brand the site according to IntraHealth's identity.
I achieved this by creating a standard banner for the site and creating space for a feature post that highlights one aspect of our work as an international public health non-profit.
I also chose to create a set of branded illustrations so that the writers could easily choose an illustration if there isn't one already available. The icons paired with the duotoned photos of health workers create an extra layer of meaning and are used frequently enough to keep an IntraHealth branded element throughout the site. The system is also flexible enough that it does not need to be updated very frequently.
Manbites Dog Theatre
Since 2007, I have collaborated with Manbites Dog Theater on their season brochures and promotional pieces for each upcoming show. Here are a few favorites:
In 2009, I worked with a team of designers to design a wholesale catalog for Burt's Bees. Team: The Change including Jerry Stifleman, Rachael Wussow, Chelsea Bay Wills, and Mary Wible photos by Rachael Wussow
IntraHealth International is a public health non-profit that champions health workers, but whose work also focuses on a variety of areas. It was a challenge to highlight work happening all over the globe that included topics varying from family planning to non-communicable diseases; beat making to nursing scholarships. To stay on brand and on message, we established a consistent storytelling structure and used simple, easily recognizable icons to categorize the content.
As part of a communications team that also included a project manager, a writer, a brand manager, I selected the photography, and did the design and layout of this book. View the report in ISSU
